Drivers on 24 hr routes want let you get rest on your ten or fully rest at all. If you don’t, with the way they schedule your route you’ll run out of time anyways. If you run out of drive time, they’ll make you finish the route, run out of time then make you wait most of the time 2-4 hours for someone to pick up the truck for you to drive the company vehicle back the same distance. Also troubleshoot plant issues when necessary.When have days off they won’t let you take them. Perform daily plant procedures such as check and monitor equipment, run lab and filter presses, perform chemical pump draw downs, safety checklists, and preventive maintenance, complete bio cell backwashes, bio cell degases, shift change briefings, daily shift log entries, and collect Imhoff cone samples for settleable solids testing.Assist in breaking up bio mass inside the Vertical Flow Cell's. Travel to Marshall Steam Station and collect Constructed Wetland Treatment System samples and Vertical Flow Cell samples for lab testing.Isolate and lock out/tag out equipment and perform plant maintenance and preventive maintenance when necessary.Safely complete chemical offloads and change out chemical totes with proper PPE.Certified in Lull and forklift operations.Calibrate ORP and PH probes, flow control valves, and lab equipment.Explain daily work plans at the FGD Wastewater Treatment Plant and how to execute safely. Perform a daily conference call with Duke Energy.
